Rocio octofasciata. A metallic electric-blue form of the Jack Dempsey cichlid. Calmer and more sensitive than the standard form, and a stunning centrepiece.
Needs a large tank with rocks and caves and very stable, clean water. Keep with similar-sized robust fish.
Omnivore. Quality cichlid pellets or granules plus frozen foods such as bloodworm, mysis and brine shrimp.
Lays eggs on flat surfaces; pairs guard eggs and fry.
Price is per fish. Choose how many you'd like at checkout. Every order is £9 delivery by overnight courier however many you buy, or collect free from South Ayrshire (KA8). Photos are for illustration; fish are selected from our tanks and colours develop as they settle and mature.
