3x BLUE ACARA CICHLID approximately 1-4cm 

The blue acara (Andinoacara pulcher) is a colorful freshwater fish in the cichlid family. This fish can be found in various freshwater habitats, ranging from standing water to flowing streams, in Venezuela and Trinidad.

They can reach lengths of 16 cm (6.3 in). The scientific species name is indicative to its looks; pulcher meaning "beautiful" in Latin. 

Blue Acara Cichlids are omnivores and will accept a variety of foods. Offer them a balanced diet consisting of high-quality flake or pellet food supplemented with live or frozen foods like bloodworms, frozen shrimp, choped beef /lamb hards and chopped earthworms.

Include some vegetable matter in their diet, such as blanched spinach or zucchini, to provide essential nutrients.

  Blue Acara are generally peaceful fish.

 Compatible tank mates include other peaceful cichlids of similar size, peaceful community fish like tetras and rasboras, and bottom-dwelling species like Corydoras catfish. I do keep them with other large cichlid  aswell like severum, uaru and geophagus.

  Life span of them is to 8-10 years however I have pair off them and they are 11 years old this year.  

The juvenile blue acara you purchased  from me come from a pair of unrelated adults purchased in different places and times, so  the offspring are not inbred fish like you might find at auctions from other sellers.

This will extend the lifespan of the fish and provide increased resistance to disease.

    My pair are Male blue acara and female electric blue acara This combination will give you more colourful in body and beautiful golden top fin.

Local pickup from mine fish room is always preferred,  collection from Ripon HG4  North Yorkshire-Collection by appointment 

Postage costs £15.00 either by Royal Mail next day service . I only post Monday – Thursday, delivery day to be confirmed with buyer.
