Labidochromis caeruleus. A bright lemon-yellow Lake Malawi cichlid with black-edged fins. One of the most peaceful mbuna and a good first African cichlid.
Needs hard, alkaline water and plenty of rockwork with caves. Keep with other Malawi cichlids, not with soft-water community fish.
Omnivore. Quality cichlid pellets with spirulina, plus occasional frozen mysis or brine shrimp. Avoid bloodworm and high-protein feeds.
Mouthbrooder: females carry eggs and fry in their mouth for around three weeks.
Price is per fish. Choose how many you'd like at checkout. Every order is £9 delivery by overnight courier however many you buy, or collect free from South Ayrshire (KA8). Photos are for illustration; fish are selected from our tanks and colours develop as they settle and mature.
