Pethia conchonius. A golden colour form of the rosy barb. Males flush pinkish-red when in condition. Active, hardy and happy in cooler tanks.
Very hardy and fine without much heating. Needs open swimming space; keep away from slow, long-finned fish.
Omnivore. Fine flakes or micro-pellets, with frozen or live daphnia, brine shrimp and bloodworm for colour and condition.
Egg-scatterer. Spawns in mature, planted tanks; adults will eat eggs, so move eggs or use a separate breeding tank to raise fry.
Price is per fish. Choose how many you'd like at checkout. Every order is £9 delivery by overnight courier however many you buy, or collect free from South Ayrshire (KA8). Photos are for illustration; fish are selected from our tanks and colours develop as they settle and mature.
